Retraction and Correction Policy

The Journal of “Sustainable Research in the Humanities” is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing practices. In doing so, it adheres to the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Accordingly, the journal adopts the following policies in cases of significant errors or academic misconduct:

1. Corrections (Errata):
If an unintentional error is identified—such as a mistake in data, authorship, or a misstatement that does not affect the core results—authors or editors may request the publication of a formal correction (erratum) in the next issue of the journal, with a clear indication of the error and the approved correction.

2. Retractions:
An article may be retracted in the following cases:

  • Clear evidence of data fabrication or falsification.

  • Proven plagiarism.

  • Duplicate publication (i.e., the same article published in more than one journal).

  • Serious errors that undermine the reliability of the findings and cannot be corrected.

In the case of retraction:

  • A formal retraction notice will be published, explaining the reasons for the retraction.

  • The original article will not be deleted from the website but will be clearly marked as “Retracted.”

  • Indexing and bibliographic databases will be updated to reflect the retraction status.

3. Author-Initiated Retractions:
Authors may request to retract their article either before or after publication, provided that a formal justification is submitted. The editorial board will evaluate the request and decide accordingly.

4. Revised Versions:
If necessary, a corrected or republished version of the article may be issued. Any modifications must be clearly indicated, and the revised version must be electronically linked to the original article.
