The Role of Business Intelligence and Its Relationship to Enhancing the Competitiveness of Libyan Private Universities: A Case Study of West Coast University in Zawiya

Abstract

The study aims to identify the knowledge of the concept and reality of economic intelligence and its relationship in enhancing the competitiveness of private Libyan universities among faculty members and employees of the West Coast University in Zawiya, as well as analyzing the reality of applying economic intelligence in Libyan universities, and exploring the relationship between economic intelligence and institutional competitiveness, the problem of the study was the following question: I rely on the descriptive and analytical approach, and the study has reached a number of results, the most important of which are: There is a positive relationship with a moral significance between the role of economic intelligence and enhancing the competitiveness of Libyan private universities. That is, the more the University uses economic intelligence tools and activates their use effectively, the more this leads to improving its position and diversifying its efficiency, and thus enhancing the competitiveness of Libyan private universities. through the results of the study, the study recommends the need to strengthen the culture of economic intelligence within the university, through the organization of workshops and conferences for faculty and administrators on the concepts and practices of economic intelligence, as well as the need to link economic intelligence to the future strategies of the university, by integrating economic intelligence in the strategic plans of the university by identifying key indicators and analyzing the competitive environment.
