Abstract

The study aimed to investigate the impact of using artificial intelligence (AI) applications on the skills of faculty members at the Faculty of Economics, and to explore the extent to which faculty members at the University of Misurata utilize AI tools in education to enhance their skills. It also sought to identify the most commonly used AI programs by faculty members at the Faculty of Economics. To achieve this objective, the study employed a descriptive methodology for analyzing and interpreting the data, as it is deemed appropriate for the nature of the research topic.

The research population consisted of faculty members from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at the University of Misurata, totaling 120 members. A non-random sample of 52 faculty members was selected. A questionnaire was used as the primary data collection tool and was distributed to the study sample. Various statistical analyses were conducted to support the study, including mean, standard deviation, and multiple regression analysis, using SPSS software.

The findings revealed that AI applications currently have no significant impact on enhancing the skills of faculty members at the Faculty of Economics, University of Misurata. The results also indicated a low level of use of AI applications in scientific research, AI tools for content creation, AI tools for generating stories on various topics in a unique manner, AI tools for designing and sharing assessments with students, and AI applications for creating presentations.
