This study aimed to identify the level of quality of faculty members’ performance in fulfilling their assigned academic mission from the perspective of students in the Faculty of Arts. It also sought to determine the strengths and weaknesses in faculty performance and to examine the level of performance quality according to the variables of gender and specialization.
The study population consisted of all students enrolled in the Faculty of Arts during the Fall semester of the 2023/2024 academic year, totaling (2,549) male and female students. The descriptive method was employed due to its suitability to the nature of the study. The research instrument was applied to a sample of (100) students from the faculty.
To achieve the study objectives, the researcher relied on a questionnaire developed by Abdul-Aziz Al-Walada (2019), which had previously been applied within the Libyan environment.
The study reached the following results: the level of faculty performance quality was high; six areas of strength characterized faculty members’ performance, while five areas of weakness were identified in their performance at the Faculty of Arts. Furthermore, there were no statistically significant differences in students’ opinions attributable to the variables of gender or specialization regarding the level of faculty performance quality.
