Abstract

This research aims to examine the relationship between human resource policies and strategies and the quality of performance at Al Sahara Bank, main branch. The research seeks to identify the need to emphasize scientific research and relies on a descriptive-analytical methodology combined with a field study approach. The research reached several findings, the most important of which are: the studied organization strives to attract the best available talent in the Libyan labour market through its recruitment and selection strategy. It also shows a strong focus on training and development strategies that align with the continuous technological advancements in the banking sector. In addition, the bank places great importance on conducting regular performance evaluations to identify strengths and weaknesses in employees’ performance and to continuously motivate them in ways that enhance their work and help them achieve their personal aspirations. The study also revealed a high level of employee commitment within the banking sector, with great attention paid to adhering to proper work values and avoiding negative behaviours such as tardiness and shirking responsibilities. Employees also show strong concern for the quality and quantity of their work output, ensuring tasks are performed as required. In light of these findings, the research recommends several measures, including: attracting specialized labour in the banking field, developing and retaining it; considering global technological developments when designing training strategies; and adopting a comprehensive and fair incentive system that includes both financial and moral rewards.
