The study sought to identify the level of psychological and social adjustment among a sample of university students and to examine the differences in their levels of psychological and social adjustment according to the variables of gender, academic specialization, academic year, and the student's birth order in the family. The sample included (60) male and female students from the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Economics at Omar Al-Mukhtar University. The Psychosocial Adjustment Scale, prepared by Amani Hamdi Shehata (2011), was used. The results indicated a high level of psychological and social adjustment among university students. It was also evident that there were no statistically significant differences in the level of psychological and social adjustment among university students based on gender and academic year. However, the results indicated significant differences among university students in their levels of psychological and social adjustment due to the variables of academic specialization and the student's birth order in the family.
