The Quality of Educational Services and Its Impact on Organizational Commitment: A field Study of Faculty Members at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science

Abstract:
This study aimed to examine the impact of Educational Service Quality on the level of Organizational Commitment among Faculty Members at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, University of Misurata. The research Employed a descriptive-analytical methodology. Data were collected through a questionnaire distributed to a simple random sample of 120 faculty members, with 92 valid responses received. The data were analysed using (SPSS), applying various statistical techniques including arithmetic means, standard deviations, Cronbach's alpha, linear regression analysis, and Spearman's correlation coefficient. The findings revealed that most dimensions of educational service quality- namely Empathy, Assurance, Reliability, and Responsiveness- were rated at a moderate level, whereas the Tangibility dimension recorded a low level. Regarding Organizational commitment, faculty members demonstrate moderate levels in both affective and continuance commitment dimensions, while normative Commitment was rated high. the study confirmed a statistically significant impact of the Assurance and Empathy dimension on Organizational Commitment. However, no significant effect was observed for the Tangibility, Reliability, and Responsiveness dimensions.
